Introducing new Design Team member, Teresa!

Hi! We are so happy to announce our final 'new' team member joining us in the Card Crafter's Circle!  All the way from merry England, is Teresa!

Hello! I'm Teresa. I'm a mum of two, wife of one and lover of all things paper, wool and fabric :-)

I've been cardmaking for about five years now and just about got the hand of silicon glue!! I've been knitting and sewing since a little girl thanks to some great female influences in my family.

I work full time (unfortunately not in crafting!). About the crafting - I'm a designer for Do Crafts and demonstrate their products in stores too (which is such a cool job!). In my day job I'm involved in adult learning so I'm a huge fan of teaching others to find their way of having fun with paper and stuff. I'm really looking forward to playing with the designs we get given - more than that, I'm looking foward to making new friends x

Introducing two new DT members!

It is my pleasure to introduce to you our two newest team members... Sara and Shirley-Anne!

Hi, I'm Sara.  I'm a 30-something wife, stepmother of five, nana of nine, and great-nana of one.  I also have two fur babies of the doggy persuasion and three of the kitty.  I was born in Guam when my dad served there with the US Navy, but wound up being raised a third of the world away in a very landlocked Idaho town of 550 people.  I'm still in Idaho - the 5th generation of my family to live in this state - but I did finally move to the "city".  

The number one thing I hear from my family in response to my crafts is "When did you learn to do THAT?".  Despite dabbling over the years with art and crafting, it's only been in the last few years that I've really discovered my creative streak.  I adore shabby chic style, though I feel like my own style changes depending on my muse.  I love to create and alter a variety of things, but have a soft spot in my heart for my cards because I know how much that little bit of thought, effort, and personalization means to the recipient.

I feel truly fortunate to be joining these amazing ladies on the DT, and look forward to getting to know more crafty people! My personal blog is Folded Paper & Printed Pixels.

Hi there. I'm  Shirley-Anne.

I am a full time carer for my husband . Papercrafting and blogging are my rest and recreational tools . I have tried many hobbies from writing short ....yes really, I can do short ...articles for magazines . Card creating has taken over my free time ...as opposed to ironin , dusting and window cleaning; I find the instant gratification soothes my soul.

Having said that my richest pleasure comes from commenting on other papercrafters mini works of art .Kind words ..and one does not need to be patronising ,can encourage, enthuse and inspire the beginner as well as an established artist.

My style is definately CAS .  My personal blog is Stamping for Joy. 

We welcome these wonderful ladies to our team, and we hope that you will enjoy seeing their creations each week... you'll see their first creations for Card Crafter's Cirle in our very next challenge!

Welcome new Design Teamie!

Hey everybody some great news that I couldn't hold in... so it's a fanfare announcement!

We have a new crafter joining our design team, and it's my pleasure to introduce her to you! We heartily and happily welcome Kerry Leddlestone, from the beautiful Emerald Isle that is Ireland.... Kerry says:

I'm a full time carer for my elderly grandmother and part-time (because alas, there are 24 hours in the day!) crafter.

I started card making about 3 or 4 years ago. Only Christmas cards and a few birthday cards at first, but a year or so ago, I really got bitten by the bug and since then I try to do some crafting almost every day. Mostly it's just cards and occasional other paper crafts like tags and bookmarks. I also do some cross-stitch and attempt knitting and crochet (badly!) and some day I'd like to try things like jewellery making and candle making!

I don't really have a 'style' when it comes to card making, I like clean and simple, but I also like lots of layers, lots of embellishments etc and I *love* digi stamps. I love regular stamping, getting inky... but I just love the immediacy of digi's a little more, within just a few minutes I can have the image I want, ready to colour with my promarkers!

I'm so delighted to be able to share my creations with you all here at Card Crafter's Circle and see all your wonderful creations in return!
